About this session

One of the biggest barriers to understanding the causes of traffic deaths in the United States is the myth that crash victims are often responsible for their own deaths. This panel will engage journalists, researchers, advocates and law enforcement in a discussion on how media coverage of traffic crashes can distort the reality of our transportation system, deflect responsibility away from governments, and distract us from the real danger on our roads.
